Mini-raft little rapid run – children aged 10 and over can participate.
An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. Minimum age to hire is 18.
Can I paddle on the river by myself?

What equipment do you supply?
We will provide the boat, paddle, buoyancy aid, dry bag and a shuttle to the start point of your trip if required. We also provide helmets on our mini-raft little rapid run.
Where do we meet?
For all trips please meet at our Little Green Kiosk, The Wharfage car park, Ironbridge, TF8 7NH. Please be aware that sat navs are notorious for sending you to wrong destinations in the Gorge so please do not follow your sat nav. Look out for signs for the Museum of the Gorge as our kiosk is based next door.
What time shall I turn up?
Full day hire of canoes and kayaks please meet at our Little Green Kiosk at 8.30am or 9.30am. For one and two hour hire please specify in the notes your preferred hire time between 10am and 2pm.
Hire of mini-rafts on our 7½ mile route please meet at our Little Green Kiosk at 9.30am or 10.15am. Hire of our mini-rafts on our little rapid run please meet at our Little Green Kiosk at 1pm or 2pm.
We ask that you are prompt and do not arrive late as this affects other customer bookings and may result in your trip being cancelled.
What should I wear?
Please wear quick drying outdoor clothing, leggings or fitness gear as you will want to be comfortable during your trip. Furthermore, bring an appropriate rain jacket (just in case!) and do not wear jeans as they can become heavy and uncomfortable in wet weather. Please also wear sensible shoes. You may get your feet wet when launching on the 7½ mile mini-raft route so we advise you to wear old trainers you don’t mind getting wet or wet suit shoes. Do not wear wellington boots or flip flops.
It should be noted that in the sit-on-top kayaks your bottom half will get wet due to the drainage holes in them so we recommend you bring a change of clothing for the end of your trip and a towel.
Can I bring alcohol?
No alcohol is allowed on any of our trips.
Is there parking close by?
Our Little Green Kiosk is based in the Wharfage car park in Ironbridge which is a 3 hour pay and display car park (£2.80 for up to 3 hours). There is also a full day pay and display car park at Dale End (TF8 7BS) which is only a 2 minute walk from our kiosk and where we recommend you park for full day hire activities (£2.90 for full day parking).
What facilities are there on site?
We are based in the Wharfage car park in Ironbridge where there are public toilets (including disabled toilets) available. There are a number of cafes, pubs and independent shops within a short walking distance and a cash machine located at the Co-op.
Are dogs allowed?
You can bring your well behaved dog on self-hire of canoes, kayaks and mini-rafts on our 7½ mile route. However, dogs are not allowed on the mini-raft little rapid run. Please advise us in advance if you are considering bringing your dog.
Will my trip run in wet weather?
We run rain or shine so please dress appropriate for the weather on the day. If weather and river conditions are deemed unsafe we will reschedule your trip to another date.
Can you accommodate a group trip?
We have a number of boats available and can accommodate large groups so please call or email with your requirements in advance.
Do you have a cancellation policy in place?
To cancel a hire of mini-raft, mega sup, canoe or kayak you will need 5 full working days before your booked trip time for a full refund (groups of under 10 people). For groups of 10 or more people you will need one full calendar month for a full refund.
